Garance wanted a portfolio as considered as her interiors, not a template off a shelf. We built it from the ground up, by hand: bespoke motion, bespoke everything, a platform she owns. Three years on, her audience has doubled and her studio has tripled.

Nothing off the shelf could hold her taste.
Garance had built a studio on one-of-a-kind rooms: vintage, custom, commissioned, never off a shelf. A Squarespace or Wix theme would have said the opposite. She wanted a home for her work as bespoke as the work itself, built from the ground up, owned outright, and ready to grow in any direction her business took, a product line, new markets, whatever came next. That meant no template, no page builder, and no shortcuts. It meant building it by hand.

Built from her mood board, by hand
We started where she starts: her inspiration and her mood board. Every layout, transition, and type choice was drawn from her taste, then written by hand in Next.js and React. No page builder, no theme, no generated filler. The result behaves exactly the way she imagined it, down to the last pixel.

Motion as a material
The whole site moves like it was choreographed. Letters unfurl into her name, images track the cursor, sections glide in on a smooth Lenis scroll. We built every animation in Motion and tuned it frame by frame, so the craft reads on screen the way it reads in her rooms.

A platform that grows with her
This was never just a portfolio. It is a foundation. Press, projects, and a Klaviyo-powered newsletter all run on a codebase she owns, so it can expand in any direction the studio takes it, a shop, a product line, a new market, without a rebuild. When the next chapter arrives, the platform is already ready for it.
